Run C&W is the Burns Brothers: Crashen Burns, CW "Wash" Burns, Side Burns, and Rug Burns. Yeah. Right. Well, they can't be ashamed to give their right names, because this CD is super from beginning to end (by the way, their right names include Amazing Rhythm Ace Russell Smith as featured vocalist and Eagle Bernie Leadon on banjo). You've got to know these sixties R&B songs (Walkin' the Dog, What'd I Say, My Girl and a bunch o' others); Run C&W dish them up remade and country fried, leaning heavily to the Bill Monroe bluegrass sound. And then, after 14 of these, they give us a parody of the country song we all love to hate: Achy Breaky Heart becomes Itchy Twitchy Spot.
